About Montserrat Romo de Vivar
Based in Mexico City, Montserrat is a photographer who blends analog and digital techniques to create images that evoke an artistic sense of nostalgia.
Inspired by the carefree days of her childhood—when her mom would give her disposable cameras to capture the world from her own perspective—Montserrat developed an eye for finding beauty in everyday moments.
Influenced by the casual, spontaneous way photos and videos were captured in the ’90s, she uses cameras from different eras, including Super 8 for videos.
Her approach is relaxed and unconcerned with perfection or the final result, always delivering artistic and genuine work filled with vibrant colors and unposed emotions.
